Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on January 28. 2003 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Land Acquisition matter.

Land Acquisition
The Village Attorney reported that the City of Des Plaines has communicated their intent
to remove unincorporated properties west of I-90 from their forced annexation. The City
of Des Plaines has until 1/30 to file this amendment. The Manager noted that Special
Counsel was retained to submit the objection for Elk Grove should Des Plaines not file
the appropriate documents to remove properties west of the Toll Road.
The Village Manager reported that NICOR has yet to execute the annexation agreement
proposed by Elk Grove Village.
