Land Acquisition
Northwest Corridor
Mayor Johnson noted that the Northwest Corridor Group will be seeking from $1.5 million to
$3 million from Flk Grove Village to build 3 rail stations along the Northwest Tollway. The
Village will have to acquire parking lots, including one (1) at Northwest Pointe. The Village
can charge a parking fee for its lot. In addition, the Chicago Fire may be seeking to build a
stadium near the proposed parking location. They are sending letters to 35 municipalities
along the Tollway.
The consensus of the Committee was to support the station development and land acquisition
costs, and to allow discussions with the Chicago Fire should they approach the Village.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
