Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on October 28. 2003 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Manager noted that he is in the process of conducting reference
checks on the Village's candidate for Finance Director. It was noted that
the reference checks have been extremely positive so far. He also noted that
the candidate was selected from a pool of 55 applicants.
Of the 55 candidates, four were selected by a committee consisting of the
Fire Chief, Police Chief, Human Resources Coordinator, Assistant Village
Manager, Finance Director, Village Manager, Schaumburg's Finance
Director and Lombard's Finance Director. In addition, personal interviews
were conducted by all of the above-listed individuals with the exception of
Schaumburg's Finance Director.
It was noted that the current Finance Director will continue to assist the
Village on a per hour basis, following her retirement.
