Use of Containers at Multi-Family Complexes
Following a brief discussion regarding the use of refuse containers at multi-family complexes,
the consensus of the Committee was to direct the Village Attorney to prepare the necessary
ordinance establishing:
specifications for rigid refuse containers for single-family attached dwelling units that have 4
or more units placing refuse at a single location; and
penalties for any person, firm or corporation violating this provision.
Establishment of standards, fines, and/or fees for violated zoning variations
Following a lengthy discussion, the consensus of the Committee was to establish a fee schedule
of two times the cost of the permit fee(or$100 minimum)plus 10%of the value of the structure
of which the permit is being applied for,in cases where construction of the structure has
commenced prior to the issuance of a building permit.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
