Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Alan J. Shapiro, DDS, Secretary E. Butch Ehrke and Commissioner Michael P. Kontek. It was moved by Commissioner Kontek and :seconded by Commissioner Ehrke that the minutes of June 21, 2005 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Shapiro declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF]INVOICES 1. Police Consultants, Inc., Invoice 4211dated 6/22/2005 in the amount of$475.00 for administration of police sergeant's written promotional examination. 2. Alexian Brothers Corporate Health Services, Invoice 158227 dated 7/5/2005 in the amount of$669.00 for pre-employment medical examination of firefighter candidate. It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded by Commissioner Kontek that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. CORRESPONDENCE 1) E-mail dated 6/24/2005 from Lily Soldman of ABCH advising that they will address the issues identified in our email and respond to us shortly. 2) Memo to Chief Schmidt requesting;assignment of evaluation points for police sergeant candidates. 3) Appointment letter to firefighter with hire date of 8/8/2005. 4) Response from PCI addressing candidate's question pertaining to the sergeant's written examination. 5) E-mail dated 7/7/2005 from Lily Soldman of ABCH regarding areas that they will improve or address. 6) E-mail from Chief Goostree regarding confidential medical records retention for new firefighters. Minutes of the Regi lai Meeting July 19, 2005 Page 1 of 2 OLD BUSINESS 1) Review PCI's response to Oft. Priindle's letter. 2) Discuss Alexian Brothers response to our email. NEW BUSINESS 1) Discuss timeline for next police officer examination process. 2) Discussion with Chief Goostree regarding retention of medical records for new hire physicals. PENDING 1) Police Officer Hiring Process—three vacancies; no authorization to replace at this time. Two names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on June 1, 2006. 2) Firefighter Hiring Process—four vacancies plus one on military leave; no authorization to replace at this time. Twenty-eight names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on February 2„ 2007. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded Commissioner Kontek that the meeting be adjourned.
