SUBJECT: Diversity Within Order
Attached hereto are copies of the latest NIPC publication
relative to the Comprehensive Finger Plan for the NIPC
area. We arrived at the conclusion at the Northwest Mu-
nicipal Conference last evening to object basically to the
Finger Plan.
am asking you, with the assistance of the Plan Commission,
to document why the Finger Plan is not the best plan among
the many alternates for the overall development of the Metro-
politan area.
The Village has additional copies of the publication and you
are most welcome to distribute them to members of your Com-
mittee as you see fit, Jim, and among the members of the
Plan Commission, Steve, Please have this report back to me
prior to Wednesday, May 17, 1967, so that I can have either
Jack Seigel , attorney for Arlington Heights , or Ed Hofert,
attorney for Elk Grove Village, draw up the necessary reso-
lutions for adoption by the Conference.
dislike making an assignment like this on such short notice
but this is very important not only to Elk Grove Village and
the Northwest Municipal Conference, but also to the entire
region. Thank you for your assistance. If I can meet with
you personally or furnish any further help I will be very
proud and happy to do so.
