Greco De-annexation Petition
The matter of the Greco de-annexation petition was discussed.
The history of the property and legal issues were examined. The
Village Attorney stated that an annexation can not be challenged
after one year except under contractual obligations. Such
obligations don' t exist as the property was annexed by ordinance
without a preannexation agreement. The plat of annexation was
recorded on November 6, 1986.
The Committee' s unanimous decision was to:
1) recommend denial of de-annexation; and
2) recommend approval of the Special Use
Permit for a Nursing Home conditioned
upon a two-year period and payment of
the 10% of purchase price of the property.
Staff was directed to contact the attorney for the Grecos and
Guzzos with the information that a negative recommendation would be
made at the March 22, 1988 Village Board meeting.
Public Passenger Vehicle Concept
Members briefly discussed the Public Passenger Vehicle Concept
and requested that the Village Attorney provide a review/recommendation.
