JUDICIARY, PLANNING & ZONING COMMITTEE

Cigarette Vending Machines
Consensus of the Committee was for Attorney Knickerbocker
to draft an ordinance for the Committee's review which would
model the Woodridge cigarette vending machine ordinance and
would make illegal the possession of cigarettes by minors.
In addition, the committee requested the Health Coordinator
to contact Woodridge and report on how well the cigarette
vending machine lock-out is working. Furthermore, the Health
Coordinator was asked to contact the Junior and Senior High
Schools in order to ascertain where and how those students
are acquiring cigarettes. The Village Attorney would contact
individuals regarding enforcibility issues.
