Cigarette Vending Machine Ordinance
The Village Attorney informed the Committee that the proposed
ordinance was prepared as directed by the JPZ Committee. In addition,
the Attorney reported that the municipal code presently requires
cigarette vending machines to be in the plain site of store managers
or their employees.
It was the consensus of the JPZ Committee to forward the proposed
ordinance to the Village Board for further consideration, and determine
which departments would be most appropriate to enforce the existing
ordinance with respect to the "Plain Site" rule.
Garbage and Refuse Ordinance
Two members of the Recycling Committee (Joseph Bosslet, Chairman,
and Dennis Gallitano, Village Trustee) reviewed a wording addition to
the proposed ordinance as outlined in a June 4, 1990 memo from Michael
Cavallini to the JPZ Committee.
It was the consensus of the two members of the Recycling Committee
to have the Village Attorney incorporate the proposed wording addition
into the ordinance. The ordinance is then to be forwarded to the
Village Board for their consideration.
