The concept plan was presented as follows: 1. Amend the proposed certification process to allow the property owner (tenant) or a licensed engineer to certify prior compliance to the Zoning Performance Standards; 2. Amend the proposed noise regulations by either retaining the present Village Standards which distinguish be- tween I-1 and I-2 uses or adopt the State Standards which do not distinguish between industrial uses; 3. Amend the proposed Air Pollution Standards by retaining the existing Village Standards. The JPZ Committee is willing to consider recommending the State Standards if the Greater O'Hare Association can provide suf- ficient justification for doing so; Page 2 4. Amend the proposed section on toxic and highly toxic substances by removing quantity limitations, but requiring proper isolation, ventilation, containment, and storage of those substances as required by B.O.C.A. and N.F.P.A. Standards through a permit process. The Committee will consider using S.A.R.A. Title III chemicals as those to be regulated under the toxic and highly toxic section of the Village Code; and 5. Amend the proposed section on the storage of flammable materials by retaining the present Village Code. Stanley Klyber indicated that the Greater O'Hare Association will examine the conceptual amendments and will report back to the JPZ Committee for the development of specific language. The consensus of the Committee was for the Village Attorney to prepare a document listing the conceptual changes for submission to the Greater O'Hare Association. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
