JPZ COMMITTEE MEETING
March 6, 1995

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Following a brief discussion, the consensus of the Committee is to have the Police Chief
and his staff consolidate newly adopted State law with existing language in the Municipal
Code as pertains to underage possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages and
other acts for which parents would assume responsibility. Proposed amendments or new
legislation is to be presented to the Committee by the Police Chief in the near future on a
date unspecified.
TRUCK PARKING ON TURNER AVENUE:
The consensus of the Committee was to attempt to secure more information from the
tenants along Turner Avenue before making a decision to restrict or not restrict parking.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS RESPONSE AND REIMBURSEMENT,
PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT:
A brief review of the proposed ordinance amendment recommendation submitted by Fire
Chief MacArthur regarding hazardous material responses and reimbursement was
conducted. The consensus of the Committee was to recommend adoption of the
amendment to the Village Board.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 P.M.
