Ken Krzywicki , Police Department COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN/OFFICIAL MAP The Official Plan and the Comprehensive Plan were discussed and the need for them was reviewed by the Village Attorney. There has been an extended period of time since they were originally prepared and the Building Commissioner felt they needed to be updated because the Zoning Ordinance refers to them. This topic will be discussed at the joint meeting with the Plan Commission. JOINT MEETING BETWEEN PLAN COMMISSION AND JPZ It was agreed that a meeting with the PTan Commission was in order to discuss items on their agenda for study and review, as well as items on the JPZ agenda. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS e per ormance standards as last proposed by Mary Salzenstein were discussed. It was agreed to continue with them as originally proposed. The Village Engineer will review and comment on the text amendment since he issues the prior compliance certificate. PUBLIC VEHICLE PASSENGER CONCEPT Committee members reviewed the Public Passenger Vehicle Concept and discussed the testing and licensing of taxicabs and their drivers. The Village Attorney was directed to prepare the- necessary ordinance amendments to enable reciprocal testing results from adjoining communities and to set forth vehicle/driver testing requirements. SMOKING ORDINANCE Members indicated that a separate meeting would be required on this topic in order to discuss provisions to be included in such an ordinance. The meeting date will be set at the next Village Board meeting. JPZ Committee MinuLcs 2 May 18, 1989 HOUSING RENTAL ORDINANCE Members noted that the Housing Maintenance Code already covers most aspects of the proposed rental ordinance. It was also mentioned that compliance is being obtained through tickets or court appearances. Members concurred that the proposed Rental Ordinance be dropped. COMMERCIAL PROPERTY DEBRIS AND LITTER The Village Attorney presence a proposed ordinance which would regulate the litter being generated by shopping centers. The provisions of the ordinance would require shopping centers to be responsible for removing litter and debris from public and private property located within 300 feet of the center.
