TRICK OR TREAT DAYS and HOURS:
It was the consensus of the Committee to not change solicitation day when Halloween
falls on a weekday and to extend permissible hours of Halloween solicitation by one (1)
hour from 7:00-8:00 P.M..
9-1-1 SURCHARGE:
The Village Attorney will be drafting correspondence to the carriers advising them of the
Village's interest in the 9-1-1 surcharge, and having them agree in the Lease Agreement
to not oppose local 9-1-1 legislation. It was the consensus ofthe Committee to await
response from the carriers to that correspondence.
ANIMAL NOISE:
It was the consensus of the Committee to not amend the Ordinance (Chapter 5, Section 6-
5-6 Animal Nuisances) with respect to animal noise.
TAXICAB REGULATIONS:
It was the consensus of the Committee to notify those petitioners who have applied for
new taxicab dispatcher licenses and present license holders of their fact-finding meeting to
be held on May 27, 1998.
MASSAGE PARLORS:
The Committee reviewed and compared Massage Ordinances from several communities.
The Village Attorney was directed to prepare a draft Ordinance, taking into consideration
the comments and concerns of the Committee.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
