The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Chairman Lissner began the meeting by
stating the only topic of discussion is a draft ordinance amending Section 5-3-7
inspections of Title 5, Fire Protection and Prevention of the Village Code. The
committee members were in agreement that the proposed change of allowing a business
to respond in writing to the Fire Inspector that minor violations have been corrected and a
follow-up inspection is not required unless deemed necessary by an inspector.
A question was asked by Trustees Czamik and Prochno that requires clarification from
staff prior to the April 11 Board meeting. How does the fifty-dollar reinspection fee
mentioned in paragraph 3 of Section 1 of the ordinance relate to the fines listed in Section
2 of the ordinance?
The meeting was adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Sam L. Lissner
