A meeting of the Fireman's Pension Fund was held on Monday,Aug. 3, 1998 in the Fire
Dept. Administrative Offices,901 Brantwood Ave. The meeting was called to order by
President Patrick L. Beck at 9:24 PM.
ROLL AL .
On Roll Call the following members were present; Patrick L. Beck,Jerry Norris,Hilda
Ingebrigtsen, James Mac Arthur, Rick Krieger&Richard T. Dugan. Absent were;
George P. Knickerbocker, Patricia S. Smith, Craig B. Johnson. Bill Macey, Attorney at
Law,Pension Fund Legal Counsel was also present.
MINUTES
Motion by Jerry Norris to accept the minutes of May 4, 1998. Seconded by Rick
Krieger. Motion passed unanimously.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Treasurer H. Ingebrigtsen submitted a Balance Sheet, Schedule of Investments, and a
Disbursement Register of the Firemen's Pension Fund as of June 30, 1998. She reviewed
all three with the Board Members and explained their contents. Motion by Jerry Norris
and seconded by Rick Krieger to accept the treasurer's report. Motion passed
unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
The Dept. of Ins. has returned our check for a compliance fee, stating that they want
direct access to our fund. The Board did not feel that this was a good idea, and we are
now engaged in a class action lawsuit with about 20 other fire dept. from around the
state. This legal action should be at no expense to the Pension Fund. It could take
several months or longer to get this resolved.

NEW BUSINESS
Received applications from Tom Gauss&Bob Menas for pensions. A motion was made
by Jerry Norris, and seconded by Rick Krieger to grant pensions to Tom Gauss &Bob
Menas. Motion passed unanimously.
We received an application from Dave Spung for a Duty related pension. A date of
Monday,Aug. 17th at 7:00 PM was set for a hearing. Waiting the 10 days for notice of
hearing and for two more Dr. reports.
Received application for survivors pension from Mrs. Elliott. A date of Monday, Sept.
21 st at 7:00 PM was set for a hearing.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Jerry Norris, Seconded by Rick Krieger, to adjourn. Motion passed
unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:04 PM. Next meeting: Nov. 2, 1998 at 7:OOpm.
