A special meeting of the Fireman's Pension Fund was held on Monday,Sept. 21,1998 in
the Fire Dept. Administrative Offices,901 Brantwood Ave. The meeting was called to
order by President Patrick L. Beck at 7:17 PM. The purpose of the meeting was to accept
the resignation of Board member Patrick Beck who had asked to resign from the Pension
Board. Also to certify the results of the Special Election which was held on Sept. 8th to
elect his replacement&to elect new officers of the pension board.
ROLL CALL
On Roll Call the following members were present; Patrick L. Beck,Jerry Norris,Hilda
Ingebrigtsen, James Mae Arthur, Rick Krieger&Richard T. Dugan. Also present were
Trustee Elect Brian McVeigh&member Karen Benson. Absent were; George P.
Knickerbocker,&Craig B. Johnson. There was no attorney present.
The first order of business was to accept Pat Beck's letter of resignation.
It was with great regret that Jerry Norris made a motion to accept the resignation of Pat
Beck from the Pension Board&seconded by Rich Dugan. The motion passed
unanimously. Thanks Pat for the many years and hours of dedicated service to the
Pension Board& the members of the pension. You have performed your duties as a
trustee well, and your services will be greatly missed.
The next order of business was to certify the special election of Brian McVeigh as trustee
to complete Pat Beck's 3 year term of office which will be completed in April of the year
2000.
There were two candidates who ran for the office of trustee: Philip Haverland& Brian
McVeigh. On Sept. 8th the election was held with 61 members casting votes. There
were 24 votes cast for Phil Haverland& 37 votes cast for Brian Mc Veigh. 1 would like
to thank both members for running,and congratulations to Brian for winning the election.
A motion made by Jerry Norris & seconded by Rick Krieger to certify& accept the
results of the election. The motion passed unanimously.
With the loss of Pat Beck, who held the office of President of the Pension Board, it was
necessary to hold a new election of officers. Jerry Norris made a motion that Rich Dugan
be considered for the office of President and Rick Krieger for the office of Secretary.
Seconded by Hilda. There were no other nominations; the motion passed unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT
The only other business that was conducted was to change the date of the next quarterly
meeting from Nov. 2, 1998 to Nov. 9, 1998. Motion by Jerry Norris,Seconded by Brian
McVeigh. Motion passed unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:27 PM. Next meeting: Nov. 9, 1998 at 7:00pm.
