\� ELK GROVE FIREFIGHTER'S PENSION FUND

i CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Firefighter's pension fund was held on November 3, 2003 in the Fire
Department Administration Office located at 901 Brantwood Avenue. President Brian
McVeigh called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL
On roll call the following members were present: Brian McVeigh, Nathan Gac, Hilda
Ingebrigtsen, Ann Walsh, Mark Percudani, Douglas Goostree, and Bernard Goss. Absent
were: Craig Johnson and George Knickerbocker. Also in attendance were Rich Puchlski
attorney at law pension fund legal council and Mary Tomanek of Solomon Smith&
Barney.
MINUTES
A motion was made by Douglas Goostree to accept the minutes of the meeting held on
August 4, 2003. Bernard Goss seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
REPORT OF INVESTMENTS
Mary Tomanek recommend to the Board to consider reducing the average duration to
approximately ten years in the portfolio managed by CS McKee. Nathan Gac made the
motion to accept this recommendation Brian McVeigh seconded the motion. The motion
passed unanimously.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Treasurer Hilda Ingebrigtsen submitted a balance sheet, open investment listing and
disbursement register. Hilda reviewed and explained the contents to the members.
A motion was made by Nathan Gac to accept the Treasurer's report. Bernard Goss
seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Hilda provided Mark with a copy of the annual statement. The Board reviewed this and a
copy will be placed in the files.
OLD BUSINESS

Hilda provided the Board with the death certificate for John Serbec. It will be placed in
his file.
NEW BUSINESS
President Brian McVeigh presented the board with the application of regular retirement
for Frank Wilhelm the retirement date is 09/15/03. His monthly retirement benefit will
be $3646.93 with the first increase to his pension taking place on 10/01/04. A motion
was made by Bernard Goss to accept Frank Wilhelm's regular retirement application.
Brian McVeigh seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Creditable
service time was verified through the Chiefs office along with the Finance Department.
President Brian McVeigh stated that he was in receipt of the pension application and all
supporting documents for newly hired Firefighter Joseph Hollerbeck. A motion was made
by Nathan Gac to accept him into the fund. Brian McVeigh seconded the motion. The
motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Brian McVeigh made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Bernard Goss seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
The next meeting will be Monday, February 2, 2004, at 7:00 PM, at the Fire
Administration Building.
