Old Business:
Grills: P.O. issued today, dealer sold ours so 3 have to be re-
ordered. Large grill is on back order. Rogers will pick up when they
are in.
Computers: The 4 we have receipt of will not be returned. We will
upgrade with zip drive and CD ROM and will stay under the $10K
budget. Rogers to get quotes on laser printers.
Physical Fitness: Judy Pohlman spoke with Park Dist. Regarding
how they hire personal trainers. Will put out quotes for bids and
advertise possibly next month.
Tuition Reimbursement: Checks for Stecki, Vrshek, and Sindelar cut.
Discussion regarding Vrshek's interest in Masters Degree Program.
Sub-committee needs to meet and discuss further. May need to add
disclaimer on reimbursement forms stating payment is pending
Village Board approval, since funds are ultimately released by them.
There is also an interest in using the program for scuba training.
Haveriand states that since these classes have been offered through
the department In the past, they fit the description of Fire dept.
related. Haveriand to inform Vrshek that uncertified people on the
list to join the dive team should apply for reimbursement if they are
interested in taking dive classes. There is also an inquiry regarding
labor relations classes by a fire department member. We have
previously reimbursed for labor relations class in the S.I.U. bachelor
degree program so a precedent has been set. A suggestion is made
to post education sub-committee meeting minutes and to post the
monies paid out per month by the reimbursement program.
Helmets: To be distributed next Wednesday
Confined Space Camera: turned down by Village Mgr. He feels that
the sewer dept. has 2 confined space cameras at this time which
could serve the same purpose. Motion made and passed to drop the
request fpr Me camera. MacArthur will inform Village Mgr. Of same.

All other items approved to the Village Mgr. Level at this time.
Publications: Now budgeted to $4K. Sindelar to set up yearly bill.
FDIC: Everyone on the board received confirmation of registration to
attend the FDIC exhibition area the week of April 8-13, 2002. Anyone
unable to attend should notify the FFIB so that the ticket may be
used by other fire department members.
Chief MacArthur to have lock installed on FFIB filing cabinet. Every
individual using the reimbursement program will have their own sub-
file under the reimbursement heading. The file will include a record
of monies paid out by the program.
The meeting schedule for 2002 was submitted with cancellation of
the July and August meeting.
