Foreign Fire Insurance Board Meeting
January 16, 2003
PRESENT:Fordon,Haverland, Sharp,Ferguson, Bonilla,Lamka, Skowronski,Miller,MacArthur.
ABSENT: Ingebrigtsen,McVeigh,Cotte(Paramedic Class).
Sit in: M. Harris, Rogers,and Belinda.
Meeting started 1900 hrs
OLD BUSINESS
Alarm Room and Apparatus Floor Maps—can streets be added,maps for all four stations apparatus floor and
alarm room and EOC.(x6)
Physical Fitness—Chief MacArthur restated that the Mandatory Physical was a separated issue from the now
initiated monthly Physical fitness training conducted by F/F Nejedlo. He also answered questions of the liability of the
F.F.I.B if someone was to get hurt while working.—Chief stated all liability is on the Elk Grove Village Fire
Department because once equipment is bought the Village Assumes all responsibility and a F/F would be covered if
hurt. All members agreed all other talk of the program must be between the Union and the Village.
Com Van—Still waiting for the Chief and Capt. Stecki to come to the Dept.with their presentation on why this is
needed.
House Fund—F/F Belinda spoke at the meeting. Stated the house fund has been put in a no fee account with a total
of$2014.06.Asked the F.F.I.B what should be done with the account since TV's,Newspapers,etc ... purchases are
picked up by Foreign Fire.
Dumbbells-discussion on where is the paper work,with Kevin Nejedlo, D/C Miller, or Purchasing?
Boots,safety glasses,Motivation/Mission carpets,and Recognition plaques all turned down by Village
Manager. Fordon will go before the Village Manager to appeal for the boots,recognition plaque and carpet.
Phil Haveland reelected for 2°a rep for education reimbursement,Ferguson elected for 1"shift,Bonilla elected for
3ra
Towel Service-Sharp stated he would talk to F/F Reid about the cost, set up etc.
