-As stated in last months meeting Chairman Fordon, Chief MacArthur, Goostree, and Miller met
with Gary Parin to make a second request for budget approval of shoes and other items the board
felt should be pursued further. Parin turned this request down stating he didn't feel [he' could
justify the purchase of shoes and the other items (recognition boards, mission carpets), stating it
was not economically sound at this time. He did state he had no problem with John going above
him to the Village Board with this request. John should be meeting on March 18, 2003 with the
board.
-John stated he received an interoffice from Chief MacArthur and per the interoffice once
something is bought by Foreign Fire funds. The Village assumes the responsibility to maintain it,
but when it comes up for replacement the Foreign Fire is responsible for replacing it. This was in a
memo between Chief MacArthur and Hilda Ingebrigtsen.
