Miller, Haverland, Rogers,McVeigh, Goostree, Lamka, Hall r4 E C E I V E 0 ABSENT.• Christine Tromp, Kelly, Skowronski, Bonilla Quorum present?Yes FEB 2 5 2005 Sit in: Johnson,Nejedlo dlllA(iE CLERK'S OFFICE Approval of minutes—minutes approved Correspondence/Members to be heard - Chief Goostree states that the Village Manager wants the chairman to attend the budget board meeting on March 15. Howard states he will try to make that meeting and may take someone with him Chairman's Report: - Howard looked into the cost of Satellite TV: $75.00 per station per month plus $100.00 to $125.00 initial cost per station for installation Vice Chairman's Report: -Nothing to report Secretary/Treasurer Report: - Nothing to report Committee Reports - Education Committee: Nothing to report - Results from counted ballots: 1"Shift—2 open positions, only 2 on the ballot: Brian McVei¢h 18 votes, Howard Hall 17 votes, both elected to a new 2 year term. 2°d Shift— 3 on the ballot for 2 open positions: Philip Haverland 6 votes, Daniel Lamka 4 votes, Mark Pytlewicz 6 votes, Haverland elected again to a 2 year term, Pytlewicz elected as first time board member to a 2 year tern. P Shift— 1 open position, one candidate ran, Matthew Bonilla 22 votes, elected once again to a 2 year term. - Hall retained as Chairman, Bonilla as Vice Chairman, and Sharp as Secretary - Lamka was thanked by the chairman for his 2 years of service on the board OLD BUSINESS - Status of remaining items being purchased: RIT Pack—It's in-service but we are still working on getting the proper 25-foot hose attachment, it came with a shorter hose due to a mix up with the Finance dept. Upgrade software for FFIB computers— Station 9 & 10 completed so far, will install free popup blocker on station 7 computer PDA Bar Code scanners—we now have 2 PDA's, 2 Barcode scanner attachments, 1000 preprinted Barcode labels and the software to run the Clothing inventory program Thermal Imaging Camera—ready to be purchased, but the board is requesting that Capt. Stecki first consult with the board and give details of the cost, type and use for the camera Weight Scales—in-service at all stations Village Map for Administration building—Map cases in the process of being install as of the day of this meeting. We will start with the Administration building Map case first then the Fire stations. Then Maps and Plexi-Glass will be inserted NEW BUSINESS a. Village Manager approved 2005 Budget; it is still to be reviewed by the Village board. Chief fills the only thing in question will be the Wallet Badges. Chief Goostree stated that while talking to Asst. Village Manager Ray Rummel he explained that one of the benefits of the wallet badges would be a verifiable identification if a firefighter needed to assist at a medical scene or a need for emergency assistance. Chief stated he pointed out that the Village Rules& Regs 6.2 actually requires us to act in the Village or in the state of Illinois if we come upon a need while off duty.
