HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 3466 - 10/25/2016 - SBA Towers 190 Gordon ORDINANCE NO. 3466 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO SBA TOWERS IX,LLC TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITY ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 190 GORDON STREET,ELK GROVE VILLAGE,ILLINOIS WHEREAS,the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the petition for a Special Use Permit to SBA Towers IX, LLC to construct a monopole and supporting equipment for property located at 190 Gordon Street, Elk Grove Village, Illinois; and WHEREAS,the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after reviewing the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that such Special Use Permit be granted as requested, subject to the conditions set forth herein. NOW,THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED,by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be hereby granted a Special Use Permit to SBA Towers IX, LLC allowing for the construction and installation of a one hundred twenty foot(120')monopole with a five foot(5') lightning rod extension and supporting equipment in an I-1 Industrial District for property located at 190 Gordon Street, Elk Grove Village, Illinois and identified by property identification number 08-21-202-062-0000. Section 2: That this Special Use Permit is only valid for SBA Towers IX, LLC at 190 Gordon Street and expires at the time that SBA Towers IX, LLC is no longer located at the subject property. Section 3: That this Special Use Permit is subject to the following conditions: 1. Petitioner must build the monopole using a stealth/canister pole design, with antennas interior to the monopole, the design of which will be subject to approval by Village Staff. 2. The exterior of the monopole shall be unpainted galvanized steel, with the exception of the top portion of the tower, which may be painted white to resist heat absorption. 3. If the Petitioner chooses to paint the top portion of the pole, repainting shall be required a minimum of every 7 years to maintain the appearance of the pole. 4. If the Petitioner vacates the site, all equipment shall be removed and the area shall be restored to its previous condition. Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 25th day of October 2016.
