Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION - 36-16 - 11/15/2016 - Appropriation of Funds I-90 Elmhurst RESOLUTION NO. 36-16 A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $72,034.85 FOR ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONAL SIDEWALK AND COST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STANDARD ROADWAY LIGHTING AND DECORATIVE LED LIGHTING ALONG ELMHURST ROAD AS PART OF THE I-90/ELMHURST ROAD INTERCHANGE PROJECT WHEREAS,the Illinois Tollway, Illinois Department of Transportation(IDOT),the City of Des Plaines, Village of Mount Prospect, and Elk Grove Village have agreed to fund portions of construction and construction engineering costs associated with the I-90 and Elmhurst Road full interchange project; and WHEREAS,the Village of Elk Grove Village has heretofore committed to contributing certain funds for the construction and construction engineering of said interchange improvements; and WHEREAS,the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village deem the passage of this Resolution to be in the best interest and furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Elk Grove Village. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties of Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinbefore set forth are hereby restated as though herein fully set forth. Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of$72,034.85 for costs associated with the construction and construction engineering of the proposed I-90/Elmhurst Road Interchange project with the Village of Elk Grove Village identified as Contract 1-13-4617. Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall transmit two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to The Illinois State Toll Highway offices in Downers Grove, Illinois. Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Resolution in pamphlet form. Section 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
