A. Senior impact study.
The trustees have not responded to the impact study. Pat
McHale will contact President Zettek to inquire about the
proper procedure to follow up on. the Senior Impact Study.
The Board of Health will have a recommendation and job
description available to discuss with the trustees.
B. Recycling update
The grant monies have been received. We have to meet with
the scavengers and the associations to plan the recycling
program for the single family attached recycling program.
C. "Access to Care"
The program has a capacity for 950 clients, but the west
end of the new suburbs still is short on physicians. They
are hoping that "Health Works" of ABMC will endorse the
program to physicians. Clients have signed up for the
program, but it is not heavily utilized. The south
suburbs have only three doctors and didn't start the
program until 5/1.
Fundraising is coming along very well .
D. "Sharpe" Containers
The Board of Health did not approve the "Sharpe" con-
tainers furnished by Garden City Disposal for distribution
to residents. The Health Department will see if Garden
City will purchase a more appropriate container for this
purpose.

drainage ordinance for approval .

vehicles being parked in driveways. He was advised to bring it up at a
Village Board Meeting when residents are asked if they have anything to
present to the Village Board.
Dave Dopp asked about the status of the overpass at Arlington Heights
Road and Higgins. An update will be given at the next Board of Health
Meeting.
The Board of Health decided to cancel the July meeting and meet in

SUBJECT: 911 Emergency Telephone Number
At the last Board of Health meeting (May 2, 1989) ,
the subject of the 911 emergency service telephone
number was discussed. The Board was under the
impression that the billing for 911 services is to
be charged on the July 1989 statements from the
telephone company but 911 service will not begin
until 1991. Residents may become confused and
think the service will be operational from the time
of billing. Hopefully, residents will receive proper
notification that there will be a year and a half
lapse between billing and actual 911 service.
