WILLIS MICHAEL A. TOSTO r. DATE: May 10, 1989 FROM: Pat McHale.x----Chairman & Board of Health J SUBJECT: 911 Emergency Telephone Number At the last Board of Health meeting (May 2, 1989) , the subject of the 911 emergency service telephone number was discussed. The Board was under the impression that the billing for 911 services is to be charged on the July 1989 statements from the telephone company but 911 service will not begin until 1991. Residents may become confused and think the service will be operational from the time of billing. Hopefully, residents will receive proper notification that there will be a year and a half lapse between billing and actual 911 service. 901 WELLINGTON AVENUE •TELEPHONE 13121 439-3900 0 ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS 60007-3499
