HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD OF HEALTH - 06/04/1991 - Minutes Village of Elk Grove Board of Health June 4, 1991 The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health was called to order at 7:40 p.m. , by Pat McHale, Chairman, in meeting room C of the Village Hall. Board of Health Members Present Board of Health Members Absent Pat Mc Hale, Chairman Pat Briggs Pat Bourke Ray Dean Ray De Palma Dr. Labinsky Dave Dopp Jim Rubly Dr. Kelly Staff Present Nancy Yiannias, Health Coordinator Steve Curatti, Village Sanitarian I. Old Business A. Community Nurse Update The interview committee, consisting of Pat McHale, Pat Bourke, Nancy Yiannias & Dick Olson (Personnel Officer) , interviewed three potential candidates for the position of Community Nurse. The committee concurred to select one candidate that was well qualified for the position. This recommendation will be forwarded to the Village Manager for his approval. Dave Dopp moved that the Board of Health concurs with the selection & recommendation of the Interview Committee for the Community Nursing Position. The motion was seconded by Ray De Palma. The motion passed unanimously. B. Recycling Update The 2-yarder bins for the multi-family recycling program will be delivered in the next two weeks. No figures on the Boardwalk condo individual bin program have been received to date. II. Routine Reports A. Coordinator's Report -- Immunization Clinic - 33 children were given 80 shots at the May 21st clinic. -- Intern - Laura Geisinger, an Elk Grove resident and student from Western Illinois University, will be spending an 8-week internship with the Health Department. She is a student in the Health Sciences (environmental health) . - 2 - B.
