Minutes Village of Elk Grove Village Board of Health November 5, 1991 The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health was called to order at 7:40 p.m. , by Pat McHale, Chairman, in Meeting Room C of the Village Hall. Board Members Present Board Members Absent Pat Mc Hale Pat Briggs Pat Bourke Ray Dean Dr. Boyajian Jim Rubly Ray De Palma Dave Dopp Staff Present Dr. Kelly Dr. Labinsky Nancy Yiannias Barbara Dumont Dr. Boyajian was greeted by the Board of Health as he is a newly appointed member of the Board. Minutes of the September 3, 1991, Board of Health Meeting were unanimously approved. I. Old Business A. Flu Clinic 163 people were given flu shots at the November 5, 1991 clinic. Many had to be turned away because the Health Department ran out of vaccine. 10 vials ( 100 shots) are being purchased from Skokie Health Department to cover the November 20th clinic. Appointments will be made to ensure that those that are given these shots are appropriate (seniors or those that are medically in need of flu immunization) . B. Immunization Clinic 194 shots were given to ^5 children at the October 23, 1991 clinic. II. Routine Reports A. Coordinator' s Report All residences, including condos and apartments, are participating in the recycling program. No figures on participation rates are available at this time. - 2 - B. New Business A. Budget Discussion for the 1992-93 Budget will be on the agenda at December meeting. B. Long Range Plans Pat McHale would like members to think about goals and objectives for the coming year, for discussion at the December meeting. C. Excessive Reinspection Ordinance An ordinance to charge food service establishments for excessive reinspections will be discussed at the December meeting. Dave Dopp brought in an article on Century 21 Realty, which seeks out handicapped residents, was discussed. The Community Nurse will follow-up on this program: This is one of many programs that try to identify residents that are handicapped or have other medical problems.
