I. Old Business
A. Recycling Bench
The purchase order for the bench made of recycled
material has been initiated. We need a letter from the
Park District accepting the bench and telling us where
it will be placed. Our Public Works Department will
make the plaques for the bench designating it to be
"This Bench Is Made Of Recycled Materials" and "Donated
by the Village of Elk Grove Village".
B. Animal Cage Rental Form
We are still in the process of finalizing this form for
the public's use of animal traps.
II. Routine Reports
A. Coordinator's Report/September 1, 1992
Immunization Clinics
213 children received 490 shots at the 08/26/92 clinic.
The increased number is due to school enrollment
requirements. This will be discussed further in the
minutes.
Lending Closet
Homex loaned out 9 items and one item was returned for
the month of August.
Paramedic
The Fire Department will send a paramedic
representative to either the October or November meeting
to report the types of calls by age, sex and health
problem. They will also try to establish trends in the
type of individual calls they are receiving.

The Board thought they would like a very short narrative of
highlights which occurred during last month.
III. New Business
A. Immunization Clinic Review
The Board of Health reviewed the Immunization Clinic and
found it to be very successful and a vital community
service. The group servicing the clinic would like to
meet to discuss the clinic and perhaps rename the joint
project and market it as a consortium.
Standing orders are being signed by Dr. Ortenau of
Alexian Brothers Medical Center. The Board felt
this project should be continued because of its past
success.
The Village newsletter will be coming out in the Fall
and items from the Health Department and Board of Health
they would like to be placed in the newsletter are:
-- Lending Closet
-- Flu Shots
-- Recycling
-- Recycling Bench
-- Immunization Clinic
Dave Dopp would like the Health Department to investigate the
possibility of having sidewalk ramps placed at Arlington Heights Road
and Higgins. Engineering will be approached on this subject.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Yiannias
Health Coordinator
