4) OSHA Guidelines for Hepatitis B were reviewed by Dr. Boyajian.
Dr. Boyajian brought up the question of Village staff that have
received the Hepatitis B Vaccine. Police and Fire personnel have
received the series. Dr. Boyajian feels that Health Department
Sanitarians and the Nurse should be vaccinated, as well as, Building
Maintenance personnel. He feels that OSHA Guidelines are not being
followed if the above personnel are not included.
Dr. Boyajian moved that Jim Christie send a letter to administration
(Gary Parrin) asking why Health and Building Maintenance were not
included in the group receiving Hepatitis B Vaccine. The motion was
seconded by Susan Baker. The motion was unanimously approved.
5) Review of Schaumburg Board of Health Minutes
The Board of Health would like to receive the monthly reports of the
Schaumburg Health Department which are submitted to the Schaumburg
Board of Health.
6) The Board of Health reviewed the Nurse's articles and approved them for
use. They would also like an article written on the duties of the
Sanitarians.
7) The Board of Health would like to meet the new Director of the Elk Grove
Park District. They would like a letter sent inviting her to either the
June 21st or the August 16th meeting. They are interested in finding out
her plans for the future of the Park District.
8) The Board of Health will not be meeting in July because they would like a
summer recess. The next regular meeting will resume on August 16th.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
