BOARD OF HEALTH - 01/17/1996 -
MINUTES Board of Health Village of Elk Grove Village January 17, 1996 The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health was called to order at 7:05 p.m. in Meeting Room C of the Village Hall, 901 Wellington. Board Members Present Board Members Absent James Christie, Chairman John Bosslet Susan Baker Dr. Charles Boyajian Kelly Clancy Bart Dill Lois Colaprete Dr. Harold Labinsky Ray Dean Ray DePalma Staff Present Dave Dopp Nancy Y annias, Health Coordinator Dr. John Kelly Guests Nancy Czarnik, Village Trustee 1. Minutes of the November 15, 1995 meeting were approved. 2. Coordinator's Report - January 17, 1996 Immunization Clinic 43 children received 87 shots at the November 29, 1995 Immunization Clinic. We will not be giving Chicken Pox shots because the Federal Government is not distributing them. They are too difficult and fragile to handle at a mass clinic. No clinic was held in December. Blood Drive The next quarterly Blood Drive will be held on January 27th. No mass mailing was sent to residents, however, Life Source sent out a "targeted" mailing of 600, which seems to be effective. A mass mailing will be sent in April 1996. 1997 Budget The proposed 1997 Budget has been sent to the Village Manager and will be distributed to the Village Board. The Board of Health will be notified when the Health Department will be making their presentation to the Village Board. Compendium The 1995 Compendium will be distributed at the February Board of Health Meeting. Computer It appears that this next fiscal year the Health Department will be getting another PC. The smaller departments are currently being assessed for their computer needs and decisions will be made after this task is completed by the Village Manager. 3.
