the March Clinic.
Children's records are currently being entered at the clinic site, as well as, previous records
being done in the office. Because of added clerical expenses due to overtime for entering
records, fees for shots will increase by$1 per shot. Elk Grove Village, Arlington Heights and
Schaumburg residents will now be charged $3 and other communities will be charged$7 per
shot.
3. Household Hazardous Waste Dav
Household Hazardous Waste Day will be held on Saturday,April 19, 1997, at the Old Nike
Base in Arlington Heights.
4. Blood Drive
The first weekday drive will be held on May 1st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. We have done a great
deal of promotion to help make this a successful drive.
5. Proposed Animal Ordinance
The ordinance was forwarded to the Village Board and in turn assigned to the JPZ Committee,
The JPZ Committee wants a joint meeting with the Board of Health to discuss this issue. You

7. The Board of Health would like the letter from Second Chance Animal Rescue Service for the
Board of Health/JPZ meeting and have a representative from that organization to attend.
8. Mr. Dill wanted to know if administration gets complete reports of the Board of Health
meetings. They receive copies of the minutes.
9. Dr. Kelly brought articles on Buffalo Grove restricting certain dogs, also an article on deer
ticks. They will be part of the May packet going to all Board of Health members.
10. Steve Curatti presented a new proposed ordinance amending the current Nuisance Ordinance.
The ordinance gives the Village the authority to hire outside companies to clean up debris, if
the owner of the property has not complied by cleaning after several attempts have been made
by the Health Department to do so. This would be similar to the weed cutting we do on a
routine basis. There was no quorum so this issue will be brought up again at the May meeting.
11. The bird house issue was discussed.
