April 22, 1998
The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health was called to order at 7:11 p.m. in Meeting
Room C, lower level of the Village Hall.

The minutes from the March 25, 1998 meeting were approved by unanimous vote.
1. Wellness Programs
The March 31, 1998 meeting with the Personnel Committee was discussed. Representing the Board of
Health at that meeting were Kelly Clancy and Dr. Charles Boyajian, Michael Cavallim, Health
Coordinator was also present. Presented were the recommendations of the Board of Health from the
March 25, 1998 meeting. Kelly Clancy will develop a health risk assessment. An employee health
survey will also be developed in conjunction with the assessment The Health Coordinator passed out a
brochure pertaining to health and wellness topics offered by the Village HMO,
2. Environmental Health Inspector
The Village Sanitarians now have a new tittle, Envu onmental Health Inspectors.
3. Household Hazardous Waste
Information on the spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events sponsored by the TEPA was
included in the Board of Health packet.
4. Mobil Food Vending Trucks
Problems with the mobil food vending trucks were discussed. Problems range frown unlabled to
unwrapped foods. Health Deparhnent staff will be meeting with the Village Attorney to discuss what
legal methods the Health Department can use to gain:compliance.
