HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD OF HEALTH - 06/17/1998 - MINUTES Board of Health Village of Elk Grove Village -Amg+ _ JuNi✓ 1-7, 1999 The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health was called to order at 7:05 p.m. in Meeting Room A, lower level of the Village Hall. Board Members Present Board Members Absent James Christie, Chairman Susan Baker Kelly Clancy William Beaupre Lois Colaprete John Bosslett Ray DePalma Dr. Charles Boyajian Merrill Froney Dr. Harold Labinsky Dr. John Kelly Terri Dill Staff Michael Cavallini, Health Coordinator Patty Sorey, Seasonal Intern The minutes from the May 27, 1998 meeting were approved by unanimous vote. I. Wellness Program The Personnel Committee will be meeting with the Board of Health to review the proposal for the Village Wellness Program, prior to the meeting, a memo will be submitted to James Petri,Personnel Committee Chairman. The memo will lay out the ground work and time frame needed to implement a wellness program. The Board of Health reviewed the memo and voted unanimously to submit the memo and go forward with a meeting with the Personnel Committee. Kelly Clancy stated that the ABMC Health Risk Assessment should be up and running before September. 2. Mobil Food Vending Trucks A mobil food vending vehicle license is being drawn up by the Village Attorney . Mobil food vending companies will now be responsible for repeat violations and be subject to fines, court appearance or license revocation. A permit will be issued to the individual driver instead of to the truck. 3. Seasonal Intern Seasonal intern, Patty Sorey gave an overview of her experiences working with the Health Department. 4. Environmental Health Inspector It was noted that the Sanitarian's Report should be changed to Environmental Health Inspector's Report to reflect the new name change. 5. Flu Shots The Health Coordinator requested that the Board of Health consider changing the cost of flu shots from $3.00 to $5.00, due to rising costs for vaccine and administration.
