BOARD OF HEALTH
Village of Elk Grove Village
September 16, 1998
The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village;Board of Health was called to order at 7:05 p.m.

The minutes from the August 26, 1998 meeting were approved by unanimous vote.
Kenneth Young Center Meeting
The next regular Board of Health meeting will take place at the Kenneth Young Center. We will
take a tour of the facilities, and meet with the Kenneth Young staff.
Wellness Program
Board of Health members James Christie and Kelly Clancy, and Health Coordinator, Michael
Cavallini met with the Personnel Committee and Human Resources Officer, Dick Olson to
discuss the proposed employee wellness program. Computer access to the ARMC health risk
assessment and employee introduction were the main topics of discussion. The Health
Department and Human Resources will work out start up and details.
Flu Shot Increase
A flu shot increase from $3.00 to $5.00 was approved by the Village Board at the Committee of
the Whole meeting on September 8, 19913. Free flu shots would be offered to all Village
employees.
Mobil Food Vending Ordinance
The Judiciary Planning and Zoning Committee met to discuss the amendments to the Mobil Food
Vending Ordinance. They accepted the ordinance proposed by the Village Attorney, and will
present it to the entire Village Board for passage.
101"Year Anniversary of Recycling
A number of events will take place in November to coincide with the 10' Year Anniversary of
the Elk Grove Village Recycling Program.
