The regular meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health was called to order at 7:05 p.m.

The minutes from the October 21, 1998 meeting were approved by unanimous vote.
Wellness Program The Health Coordinator will be meeting in January with the Human
Resources Officer to discuss implementation of the Village Wellness Program.
"Trash House" Jeffrey Priebe, Environmental Health Inspector, presented an overview of the
"trash house" meeting hosted by the Health Department on October 22, 1998. The meeting was
held to discuss responsibilities of Village Departments during a "trash house" situation. The
Health Department hopes to put together a paan of action for such situations in the future.
Health Department Communications S,, stem A two way communication system was
discussed during the meeting. At the present time field personnel do not have two way
communication capabilities. At times situatiions arise where field personnel may need to contact
the Health Department or other Village Departments from the field (emergencies, information,
etc.) The Health Coordinator is exploring a number of possibilities to provide field personnel
with a two way communication system.
Recycling Program A question was asked regarding the participation in the Village Recycling
Program. Figures were not available at the meeting date. Statistics on recycling will be
presented at the January meeting.
Mobile Food Vendors Meeting An overview of the meeting with mobile food vending
operators was presented. Jeff Priebe elaborated on the ordinance changes that went into effect in
September, regulating mobile food vendora. In the future, the Board of Health Department
inspections would change with the new ordinance.
Town Center Food Related Businesses A schedule of the opening of food related businesses
was presented. Opening schedules are as follows:
Fannie May—week of November 16, 1998.
LaMagdelena—November 1998
Schlotzsky's Deli—before new year
Espresso Brewery—Thanksgiving Day
