Asst/Public Works Tom Cech, Village Engineer TOPIC: WELLINGTON AVENUE 1 . Due to the high cost involved in reconstructing Wellington and the possibility of trucks with heavy loads using the road for future Village Hall construction, the Committee agreed that Wellington Avenue should be patched and re- paved between Banbury and Biesterfield. The cost is estimated at $8,000.00 plus Village labor and equipment. 2. The Commitee reviewed the proposed placement of storm sewers at: Tanglewood & Greenbriar $24,576 Landmeier from Wildwood to Greenbriar 83,551 Germaine b Wildwood 12,218 $120,3 The improvements would eliminate the large amount of water that collects at these sites and serve to pre-empt deterioration of the pavement. Village Engineer Tom Cech supplied information on sewer tie-ins. 3. Additional streets will be reviewed for inclusion in the 1981 MFT streets program for repaving work. Streets may be added for improvement this year in order to take advantage of lower costs in contracting due to the economy and competitive bidding. 4. The Committee directed the Village Engineer to examine the culvert at Elmhurst Road near Carmen Drive for blockage and to report to the State that a petroleum pipe at that location is uncovered and dangerously exposed.
