Peterson, Village Engineer Dennis Gallitano, Member OTHERS PRESDENT Jim Kane, Daily Herald Denise Arispe, Pres. Elk Grove Townhouse Assn. Martin Tatera, M. G. Tatera & Sons The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairman Tosto in the Trustee's Conference Room. The following items were discussed: I. FIRE LANES - ELK GROVE TOWNS ESTATES Chairman Tosto discussed the background of the fire lanes and how fire lanes are inappropriate for public streets. "No Parking"signs would be posted around the cul-de-sac islands. The Fire Chief said this would be acceptable. Ms. Arispe indicated the Association prefers no parking on any of the streets. They have a problem with uninvited visitors parking and using the lake facilities. In addition, she asks the Village enforce no parking on the sidewalks . The Committee decided to: 1.) Recommend fire lane signs be removed and "No Parking" signs be installed on the islands. 2.) Advise the Police Chief to en- force no parking on the side- walks (except at the aprons) and 25 feet from the inter- section. 3.) Advise the Police Chief to enforce the 1:00 - 5:00 a.m. parking restriction. Cont'd... Page 2 4.) Place yield signs on the side streets at Chelmsford. Ms. Arispe indicated the Association is willing to try this. She'd like to be able to come bock to the Committee if there is a problem with parking or access after at least a month after the above items are instituted. The Committee agreed to that. ll. TRIANGLE CORPORATE SQUARE - SIDEWALK WAIVER Roy Peterson indicated that the person requesting the waiver could not attend this meeting. He would like the chance to discuss this as the Village Engineer has recommended denial. This will be discussed at a meeting which will be called for August 20. Ill. CENTER STREET SEWER Mr. Martin Tatero, the engineer for lots 16 and 17 on Center Street in unincorporated Elk Grove Township, discussed the project. He indicated the septic systems had failed and the only reasonable alternative was to connect a sewer to the Tonne Road sewer. The owners of lot 16 and 17 cannot annex because they are not conti- guous. They are willing to sign a pre-annexation agreement whereby they will annex as soon as they are contiguous or if the Village forceably annexes this area north of Devon, east of Tonne. The Committee agreed to the following (subject to Village Board approval): 1. We will allow the connection as long as the properties connecting services sign a pre-annexation agreement prepared by the Village Attorney. 2. Mr. Tatero is to canvas each prop- erty along North St. and Center St. to see if they are willing to annex and/or connect to the sewer. 3. Mr. Tatera is to investigate a design to place the sewer along Center St. instead of the rear yard because of maintenance access problems to the rear lots.
