Present: Trustee Tosto, Chairman Trustee Chernick Trustee Petri Absent: None Staff Present: Thomas Cech, Director of Public Works John Stukel, Superintendent of Utilities Richard Edwards, Superintendent of Streets Ridge Avenue Tunnel: Cost estimate of $7 . 5 million was judged to be high for a 7,800' route with depths from 22-55 feet. Trustee Tosto will obtain a cost estimate from a construction company familiar with tunnel work. Mr. Cech will develop an estimate of annual operation, maintenance, and repair costs. Committee will discuss further when additional information is available. Curb Replacement Policy & Procedure: Criteria used for replacement of curb was explained and discussed. Concern was expressed that much of the curb was being replaced in front of driveway aprons. It was explained that the curb abutting aprons generally received more wear and tear because of the continuous pounding by vehicle wheels. This type of activity accelerates failure. No curbs are replaced because of a settled apron behind the curb (this is not one of our replacement criteria) . Consensus was to agree with current replacement criteria as identified in Mr. Cech's September 18, 1992 memo. Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. c: President and Board of Trustees Village Manager AssistantVillage anager Administrative A istant Administrative ntern Village Clerk Village Attorney
