1995 Street Maintenance ProETam
A preliminary '95 program list of streets and estimate of cost was presented and discussed. Director will
finalize program and submit for approval later this year. Points of discussion included:
- In general our streets are in very good condition. The size of the program has been decreasing
every year for the last 3 years. This trend is projected to continue.
- The MFT fund is very healthy. It currently has a balance of approximately $1.4 million and is
projected to be $1.6-$1.7 by the end of calendar year 1995. Our annual revenue has been
exceeding expenditures and is projected to continue that trend under the current policies.
- A policy of selective pavement reconstruction of pozz-based streets was briefly discussed for the
surplus funds.
- A different maintenance methodology of applying low cost asphalt rejuvenating agents to older
pavements to extend their service life between overlays was briefly discussed.
Respectfully Submitted,
Thomas J. Cech E.
