SHELLY AT ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT
Chairman Tosto called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. The
Committee reviewed the December 16, 1994 memo prepared by Director
Boffice. Members indicated that they had looked at the area and
agreed that the existing height of the sidewalk contributes to a
sight distance problem. The members were also aware of the fact
that residents had voiced concerns about this intersection in the
past.
The committee unanimously recommended that the sidewalk be removed
and replaced at a lower elevation in accordance with Director
Boffice's memo.
The Committee also unanimously recommended that the sidewalk
removal and replacement be performed by the 1995 MFT concrete
contractor.
BANYAN DRIVE
The Committee reviewed the March 24, 1995 memo received from the
Village Manager identifying t1tat the residents disagreed with the
proposed sidewalk widening and that they had not responded to the
March 1, 1995 letter advising that we would be happy to meet with
them to discuss our findings.
The members unanimously agreed that one final letter be sent to the
residents emphasizing the time spent by the Village seeking a
solution to their access problem, and that in response to their
desires, the Village will not construct any alternative
ingress/egress routes for their utilization.
