Facilities Tour
The Capital Improvements Committee toured the following locations:
• Biesterfield Fire Station#7 addition and renovation work;
• Landmeier Public Works renovation work;
• Oakton Street Fire Station and Training Facility.
Upon touring these areas, the consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• Request that the Fire Chief examine the costs of installing noise insulation
around the sleeping quarters at Station#7 as well as strengthening of the wall
facing Biesterfield Road; and,
• To look forward to a dedication of both the Oakton Street Fire Station and
Training facility during Fire Prevention Week in October.
The meeting adjourned at 11:30 am.
