Trustee Petri called the meeting to order at 3:05 P.M.
Proposed 2002 Street Maintenance Program
The Committee reviewed the proposed Program contained in the
Department of Public Works memo to Gary Parrin dated December 14,
2001.
The Committee unanimously recommended approval of the Program as
submitted and directed staff to place the item on the January 22, 2002
Village Board Agenda for full Board consideration of the following:
• Approval of the 2002 Street Maintenance Program, as contained in
the Department of Public Works December 14, 2001 memo, that
includes resurfacing of 10.1 miles of street, removal and
replacement of 15,000 lineal feet of deteriorated curb and gutter,
and removal and replacement of 150,000 square feet of
deteriorated sidewalk.
• Approval of a resolution to Appropriate $1,497,542 of Motor Fuel
Tax Funds to pay for the Program
• Advance approval of$34,000 of General Corporate Funds to pay
for the Program
• Authorization for staff to advertise and accept bids for the work
included in the Program.
