The Commission recommended that the ICRC should provide assistance to the Elk Grove Chamber events rather than sponsor separate meetings. It was noted that the majority of company's have limited time to attend meetings and/or schedule maintenance or construction projects. The Commission recommended that a parkway maintenance brochure be developed to seek assistance from businesses. In addition, a more comprehensive Village maintenance program for the Business Park should be developed. The program should evaluate the cost of Village versus private maintenance contracts. Additional ICRC funds should be allocated to ensure the proper establishment of median and parkway plantings within the first few years. The hiring of a media relations firm to promote the ICRC programs and improvements will be discussed at the next meeting. The selection of sign posts for he Business Park was discussed. The cost of black coated solid posts is approximately double the cost of the standard galvanized posts. The Commission agreed that the standard galvanized posts would be used for the street sign installations. Other business items discussed included the removal of old street name posts at signalized intersections along Busse Road. Also, the feasibility of restricting parking opposite Wiley Washer on Greenleaf Avenue was discussed. The next meeting for the ICRC will be November 2, 2000. The October meeting has been cancelled.
