Item A: Reorganization of Zoning Ordinance
Chairman Glass questioned if staff had any concerns with the
proposed zoning ordinance submitted by Sterling Codifiers. Kracht
stated that staff has performed some review on the language
ambiguities that exists in the ordinance. However, a review on the
structure/format of the proposed ordinance has not been performed.
Chairman Glass suggested that the reorganization of ordinance be
performed in two phases. The first phase would entail recommendations
to the ZPZ Committee on structural changes with no emphasis on
language. The second phase would focus on any language changes.
Commissioner Geinosky referenced previous Plan Commission notes on
the reorganization and stated a list of outstanding items that were not
included in the proposed ordinance:
1 . Every page is to be numbered.
2. Section 5.1 of the existing ordinance is to be
moved to Section 4.10 of existing ordinance.
3. Exhibits are to be added to the Table of Contents.
4. Every page is to have a heading identifying the page's
Article/Section of the Zoning Ordinance.
5. Fees on page 61 of existing ordinance are to be listed
and identified.
6. All articles are to be tabbed.
7. An index is to be included in the back section of the
zoning ordinance.
Chairman Glass suggested that a chronology of amendments starting
now should be added to the zcning ordinance.
