Plan Commission Minutes
December 2, 1998

Item 1: Approval of Minutes
Commissioner Geinosky moved and Commissioner Ayers seconded a motion to approve
the minutes from the October 21, 1998 Plan Commission meeting. Upon voting, the motion
carried unanimously (Glass, Geinosky, Ayers, Meyers, Paliganoff, Sokolowski, Thompson,
AYES, Henrici, Zizzo, ABSENT).
Item 2: Village Developments
Chairman Glass informed the Plan Commission that a public hearing had been scheduled
for January 6, 1999 to discuss the annexation of 4.9 acres of property located on Higgins Road
just east of Wildwood Road. The petitioner, Ted Pecora, is seeking to annex the property and
rezone it to multi-family for the purpose of constructing condominiums.
The Plan Commission briefly discussed the proposed development and asked that staff
contact the petitioner and request that architectural renderings and landscape drawings be
submitted for review at the public hearing. In addition, the Plan Commission recommended that
the Village make contact with representatives of the FANS and No Bears Coalition organizations
to inform them of the purpose of the public hearing. Doing so may assist the Plan Commission
by reducing anti-stadium presence that may attend the hearing due to the proximity of the
property to the proposed Bears development.
In addition, the Plan Commission briefly discussed the status of current developments in
the Village including the Elk Grove Town Center,the Gullo Shopping Center and the proposed
annexation at Devon and Ridge.
Adjournment
Commissioner Paliganoff moved, and Commissioner Ayers seconded a motion to
adjourn the meeting. Upon voting, the motion was unanimously approved. Chairman Glass
adjourned the meeting at 8:35 p.m.
