carried by acclamation.
Secretary Losch reported no new applicants and no resignations since
the last meeting. Mr. George Balasky, Pension Examiner, Illinois
Department of Insurance inspected the pension files on June 26, 1975
and was quite pleased with the new filing system for the individual
offices - all records are now being kept in acco-press binders for
security. Mr. Balasky also suggested that the minutes be kept in
permanent binders rather than in acco-press binders as they now are
and further suggested a new format for writing the minutes.
Fire Department Lt. Marquardt of the Fire Pension Fund joined the
meeting and a heated discussion followed regarding the need for a
more thorough physical examination for new applicants to the fund.
Following much discussion the following course of action was taken.
Trustees will contact various agencies to determine what type of
physical examination is required of applicants in order than we can
set up specific criteria for a physical examination that will insure
that only qualified applicants are accepted into the fund.
Canary will contact the Chicago Police Department, Farley - Alexian
Brothers Medical Center, Watson - Cont. I11. National Bank and the
Board of Health, and Losch - Illinois State Police. All trustees
will report their findings at the next meeting that has been set for
