MINUTES
YOUTH COMMISSION MEETING
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1998
8:00 A.M.

Cheryl O'Malley talked about some of the changes that will be occurring to the Teen
Center. It appears that the Friday night Teen Dance Club is a go. Chris will speak to
Marge Hart about the Commission's involvement in that project.
Chris shared some pictures of the intergenerational Halloween Party. Cheryl suggested
that the Commission start a scrap book of all the events that they participate in. The
Commission members also watched a video of the recycled fashion show. It was
suggested that the Commission adopt a family for the holidays. Chris will talk to Beat
Madden about getting a family. _
The Youth Commission will also be helping on December 5, 1998 with another
organization to help under priviledged children shop for Christmas gifts at no charge to
the children.
Chris is going to make contact with the Youth Commissions in the surrounding
communities and invite them to join the Elk Grove Village Commission for a get-
together to share ideas, activities and goals. The proposed date is Saturday, January 8,
1999
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
