Chris Prochno reported on the success of the Paint-A-Thon. The house was painted by
2:00 p.m.
The Commission will be participating on October 23, 1999 in the PADS 5K Walk as their
"Make A Difference Day" project.
At the next Committee of the Whole meeting, Chris will ask approval to receive $1,000
in scholarship money. Tom Cooke will go over the forms that Pat Feichter provided to
adjust to the needs of our Commission.
Chris showed a sample of a participation certificate that Pat Droschak created for the
Youth Commissioners whose terms have expired. The Commission approved the
certificate for use.
Chris will ask Pat Droschak if she could make up a similar certificate for Meyer Material
to acknowledge their help and support to the Commission for the Hometown Parade.
Barb Lahtinen will purchase a frame for the certificate and present it to Meyer Material.
The Commission decided to sponsor a family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They do
not want to adopt a family for Easter.
Barb Lahtinen asked for a new phone list of Commission members. Chris will ask Pat
Droschak to distribute an updated list.
The meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m. The next meeting will be on Saturday, November 6,
1999 at 8:00 a.m. The Commissioners are reminded that should they be unable to attend
the Youth Commission meetings, they are to call Pat Droschak at 847 357-4030 prior to
the meeting date to advise her.
