$228.00. Fifty-one dollars was spent for pizza and pop for those working the car wash.
Approximately $325.00 will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Campaign — Teen Suicide
Prevention. A thank you was relayed to Boy Scout Troop 495 for their assistance at both
car washes.
The youth Commission will be participating in the WACO Shopping project on
December 9, 2000. All participants should meet at Wal-Mart by 7:00 a.m. Once
again, Chris will take funds out of the Youth Commission account to help pay for some
of the gifts.
The Commission agreed to adopt a family for Thanksgiving and for Christmas. Ron
Foster offered to purchase a $150.00 gift certificate from Dominick's to go into one of
the baskets. Pat Feichter will purchase a gift certificate from Jewel. Com Cooke will
donate the turkey. Chris will notify the Commission as soon as we have the family for
Christmas so that presents can be bought for them. She will request a Hispanic family.
Marian will help with the shopping.
Chris discussed with the Commission, Mayor Johnson's suggestion that Trick or Treating
be held on a Saturday, regardless of what day Halloween falls on. The Commission
discussed the idea and unanimously agreed that they would like to keep Trick or Treating
on the holiday itself, no matter what day it fell on.

suggested that we all start looking for costume ideas as soon as possible. The said that
there is a Halloween show in March that we should attend to get ideas. She also has a
friend who owns a shop called "Magiqu,". She will try to come up with some ideas for
us too.
