Litigation
The Mayor noted that the Village has hired the legal firm of Storino,Ramello &Durkin to
represent the Village in the case involving underage drinking at the Holiday Inn. Furthermore,
it was noted that if minors are given alcohol on the premises by someone other than a
bartender, then the Village would still enforce the incident as if the minors were receiving the
alcohol directly from the Holiday Inn server.
The Mayor noted that the Liquor Commission would be meeting with representatives from
Holiday Inn to discuss this issue on Thursday, July 1. The Mayor stated that the Liquor
Commission would likely levy some type of suspension of the liquor license for a period of six
to eight days and a fine of approximately $2,500.
The meeting adjourned at 8:10.m.
