Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on July 20.2004,this Executive Session was
called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
Mayor Johnson noted that he was going to offer a position on the Police&Fire Commission to
Mike Kontek. Mr.Kontek is currently employed by Allstate Insurance to hire and recruit
prospective employees. Both Gayle Bantner and Butch Ehrke recommended Mr.Kontek for
the position. Furthermore, Dr. Shapiro will assume the role of Chairman until his term expires.
He has stated that he will stay on until the Village finds a new chairman to replace him.
Furthermore,Mayor Johnson noted that he would offer the position on the Community Service
Board to Georgia Landt. If she accepts the position, she will be sworn in at an August Board
meeting.
